Indian Restaurant Song

Wish I had me an Indian friend,
who would show me around the menu.
So when I’m with my girl,
I would order curry like an Indian would.
Order curry like I think I should.

Wish I had me an Indian Friend who would take me ’round the house.
Introduce me as his friend.
Meet his mother, that would be nice.
Talk of Ganesh, stay up all night.

Wish I had an Indian girl.
With those colorful saris and that thing on her forehead.
Maybe be a doctor or oral surgeon.
Love her mother (and) be a virgin.

Wish I had me some Indian friends.
Who would accept me as their own, call me on their telephones.
“Come on over, having curry.”
“Bring your guitar, we hope you sing”.

Lost in thought, eating kofta.
Lost in thought, thinking of you.

Wish I had me an Indian friend.
(To) show me around the menu.
So when I’m with my girl I can order curry like an Indian would.
Order curry like she thinks I should.

  1. The instrumental touches where nice here, I do feel the vocals are not quite loud enough however. There is a bit of the disconnect between you and the guitar and the more Indian elements on the track. It’s still an amusing track with fun lyrics, “those colourful saris and that…thing…on her forehead” ha ha.

  2. Wasted Redemption

Lovely tune, man. Tandori chicken, highly recommended 🙂
